On Tuesday, September 17, the LeClaire Public Library is hosting an Alzheimer’s awareness presentation.
Tim Lane, a board member of the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Iowa, will talk about the different types of dementia, the warning signs, the diagnosis, and the early diagnostic process.
Lane says knowing the Alzheimer’s sign is extremely helpful. “While we don’t have a cure, being able to get a couple more months or a couple more years of a quality life are time critical. The sooner we can get somebody in front of their primary care doctor and then a neurologist and get treatments, all the better.”
The presentation is for everyone and starts at 5:30 p.m.
