09/11/24 Update 1:40 p.m. - The Kewanee Police Department and the Henry County Coroner's Office announce the deceased man is 40-year-old Lukas McCullough of Kewanee, Illinois.
The investigation is ongoing.
09/09/24 - An Amtrak train struck and killed a 40-year-old man in Kewanee this past Sunday night around 8 p.m., Sept. 8th, just north of Cernovich’s Scrap Yard on 616 East 6th Street.
The man’s identity is being withheld as Kewanee Police await positive confirmation of their identity by the Henry County Coroner’s Office.
