Starting Tuesday, September 3rd, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in Ames, Iowa will begin to take its fall 2024 and spring 2025 seedling orders. Prices range from .80￠ to $1.20 and are sold in three different age categories.
There are twenty-three variations of native hardwoods, eight evergreens, and fifteen smaller trees and shrubs. The evergreens, as well as a few other species, are only available for delivery.
The DNR State Nursery sells around 1 million seedlings a year.
