A gas station in Davenport has found a device that scans credit card numbers on its fuel pumps. Today, Casey's General Stores announced it has found credit a card skimming device at its store in Davenport, off of 140th Street.
In a press release, the convenience store chain says it launched a company-wide investigation after discovering a device at a store in Nebraska. Casey's then found credit card skimming devices at six stores in Nebraska, and one in Davenport.
The company has removed the devices and contacted law enforcement. It's unclear if any credit card information has been compromised, but Casey's is encouraging customers to monitor their accounts and credit reports.
