More than a month after he escaped in northern Illinois, a prisoner being transported across the country has been captured. Joshua Drinnon was arrested Monday, at a homeless shelter in Ashland, Oregon.
Drinnon was being transported by a private company on September 2nd, when he escaped at a rest stop in Bureau County, near Princeton and along Interstate 80, and was last seen running into a corn field. Despite an intensive search by police, he wasn't found, and the search was suspended after two days.
Officers received a tip on Sunday about his possible whereabouts, and he was arrested without incident on Monday.
Drinnon is serving a prison term for aggravated robbery.
