     The City of Bettendorf is asking residents for help with long-term planning. Tuesday, city staff will be on hand during an open house to discuss the initiative called, "Premiering Bettendorf."  The open house will focus on neighborhoods with potential for growth, such as the area from 53rd Street north to Interstate 80. Bettendorf officials want to know where residents would like streets and highways to be improved, and what kinds of amenities they want, such as parks and trails.

Patrons are enjoying more space and convenience at a local library. Monday, city officials and others cut a ribbon to celebrate the completion of renovations at the Bettendorf Public Library.Director, Sue Mannix, says while the square footage of the library has not changed, it's easier to use.    Mannix says the biggest improvement is the accessibility to different technologies. Wi-fi is available for all patrons, along with charging stations, to support individual devices.  The 1.5 million dollar project began last summer.
