New Interim Leader for QC Chamber

Dr. LaDrina Wilson
Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce
Dr. LaDrina Wilson

The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce has a new leader. LaDrina Wilson started serving Tuesday as the Interim CEO while a search is conducted for a new president and ceo.

Wilson is chair of the chamber's board of directors and CEO of IMAN Consulting. And she replaces previous interim leader, Mike Oberhaus, who's leaving to "pursue other professional opportunities."

An executive search firm, Jorgenson Consulting has been hired and is expected to complete its search for a new chief executive by later this summer. Wilson is also chair of the search committee.

Oberhaus replaced Paul Rumler who led the chamber for four years until he left last March for another job.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
