Minor to major flooding continues in the QC area

Flood warnings are in effect for rivers in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
The National Weather Service says a flood warning continues for the Rock River near Joslin. It's 3.5 feet over flood stage and rising. The river should crest slightly higher tomorrow morning, then begin to fall. At Moline, the Rock is one foot over flood stage and rising. The crest is expected Thursday morning, about half a foot higher.
This morning the Wapsipinicon River at De Witt reached 1.7 feet over flood stage. It should go up a little more and crest later today, then begin falling.
At Conesville, the Cedar River is nearly one foot over flood stage, and should crest slightly higher Friday night.
And at Columbus Junction, the Iowa River is 1.5 feet over flood stage and has begun to fall. It should drop below flood stage by Sunday.
The flood warning is cancelled for the Iowa River at Lone Tree. It crested Monday and has already dropped below flood stage.
