Davenport Flood Wall Project Manager Collects Bottles, Likes Old Sewers - LISTEN
October 23, 2013
Workers building a new flood wall in Davenport found a few artifacts to add to their collections. Project Manager, Mark Pratt from the Corps of Engineers, now has several items to remind him of the two-year, flood protection project at the Iowa American Water Treatment Plant. Today (thurs), the company and city will celebrate the end of the project. On today's WVIK News Focus, Michelle O'Neill talks with Engineer, Mark Pratt.
A ribbon cutting will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 at the plant, located at the foot of Mound Street along Davenport's River Drive. It treats water for most of Scott County. You can see Pratt's collection and other pictures on our Facebook page.
