CEO of Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center Resigns

April  10, 2014

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will lose its long-time leader next month. CEO David Green has announced his resignation, effective May 15th.

For twenty-five years, the Galesburg native has overseen the operation of 19 blood donor centers in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin. The blood center based in Davenport also provides blood products to 90 hospitals throughout the region.

Green plans to move to Arizona and serve as President of the Blood Centers Division of Blood Systems, Incorporated, in Scottsdale.

Before joining the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, he worked for the Red Cross Biomedical Program. He is currently Board Chair for the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce and has served on the boards of Friendly House and United Way.

A search has already begun for his replacement.
