Bald Eagle Days
January 11, 2013
Quad Cities residents can get up close to some wild animals this weekend. The 26th annual Bald Eagle Days will be held at the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island.
Show Director Rob Junker says there will be live animal shows each day including bats, falcons, and wolves. As in past years, the World Bird Sanctuary from St. Louis will present its birds of prey programs.
Visitors can also ride shuttle buses with members of the Quad City Audubon Society to see bald eagles along the Mississippi River.
Bald Eagle Days opens today from 4 to 8 pm, and continues Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. There will also be shuttle busses from the expo center to nearby parking lots.
