Two Arrested for Culbreath Death.

Two Davenport teenagers are suspected of killing another teen in the city last week. Wednesday police announced the arrest of 17 year old Trevor Owens and 14 year old Kamario Hill.

They're charged with first degree murder and intimidation with a dangerous weapon in connection with the fatal shooting of 15 year old Ayana Culbreath. She was shot once while standing outside a home in the 42-hundred block of Warren Street, on June 26th.

For the intimidation charge, police say Owens and Hill, fired a dangerous weapon at a group of people "with the intent to injure or provoke fear."

Owens is being held in the Scott County Jail, while Hill is at the county's juvenile detention center.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
