River Bandits to Join Midwest All-Star Game

Quad Cities River Bandits

Three Quad Cities River Bandits will play in this year's Midwest League All-Star Game- more than any other Western Division team. In addition, the team says one of its pitchers will be a reserve, for the June 23rd game in Peoria.
River Bandits catcher, Jacob Nottingham, second baseman, Mott Hyde, and third baseman Nick Tanielu were selected by Western Division field managers to start in the game. Right-handed pitcher Austin Chrismon will be a reserve.
The last time the Quad Cities River Bandits had three players start an All-Star game was in 2006.
Leading the Western Division team will be Peoria Chiefs manager Joe Kruzel, who worked as a pitching coach for the River Bandits, from 2008 to 2012.
