A long career in law enforcement is about to end. Thursday Moline Police Chief Kim Hankins announced he'll retire in two weeks.
During his 37 years with the Moline Police Department, Hankins has held a variety of positions, including patrol supervisor, undercover drug investigator, and bicycle patrol coordinator and instructor, to name just a few.
He's served as chief for the past 7 years, and Public Safety Director for the city for the last six.
Hankins' last day on the job will be July 14th.
