This week, drivers should be prepared for another change in traffic patterns in downtown Moline.
The Illinois Department of Transportation says the Illinois-bound, I-74 off ramp to River Drive will reopen.
Then, the contractor will close 7th Avenue in both directions between the I-74 ramps and 21st Street "A." The closure of 7th Avenue will continue through early July. And the Illinois DOT says it will be open the week of the John Deere Classic, or July 9th.
Detour signs will be in place for drivers to follow and will include 4th and 6th Avenues. If they can't avoid the area, drivers should leave early and expect delays.
In addition, access to 7th Avenue via I-74 ramps will be restricted to right-hand turns.
