Drivers should expect more changes on John Deere Road in Moline as the two-year project nears completion. A McCarthy Improvement crew are scheduled Monday to open the new, westbound left-turn lanes at 41st, 53rd, and 60th streets.
On Tuesday, workers will open the new, third lanes in both directions, a process McCarthy says will take almost all day.
Then on Wednesday, a crew will open the ramp taking westbound traffic from I-74 to eastbound John Deere Road. In the past, traffic on the ramp had to merge into an existing lane. But with the new lanes open, merging will not be necessary.
