Deere Classic Champ Back to Defend Title

WVIK Staff

After winning his first PGA tournament at the John Deere Classic, Brian Harman finally feels like he belongs among the pros. Monday morning, the defending champion talked about life on the road and the perks of winning, for Media Day at the TPC Deere Run in Silvis.
He says the John Deere Classic will always be one of his favorites.
Harman is the 20th golfer to win a PGA title for the first time at the Classic. The 28-year-old newly-wed from Georgia says being away from home has been hard, but he loves the work.

And, he hasn't gotten this far without advice from previous champions, like Zach Johnson, who will play here next month. Harman beat Johnson by only one stroke last year.  Three-time winner Steve Stricker and reigning Masters champion Jordan Spieth have also committed to play in the John Deere Classic, from July 6th to the 12th.
