Born and raised in Media, PA, Robert Brod graduated from the University of Iowa in 2017.

While in Iowa City, he served as Assistant Music Director and Production Director at KRUI (Iowa's student-run radio station), and as a Production Assistant at Iowa Public Radio.

He has five years of experience in various aspects of radio production, including editing audio, producing/hosting live radio, and writing copy.

His hobbies include talking about the Philadelphia 76ers, and FaceTiming his dog.

Augustana College students will help four cities become more sustainable. On Friday, the school announced they will work with Davenport, Rock Island, Morrison, and Geneseo on 15 projects. It's the third year of the Sustainable Working Lanscapes Initiative.

AARP Illinois hosted a forum in Moline Thursday night to learn how the state's financial crisis has affected Quad Cities residents. It was the latest in a series of Illinois Issues Forums co-sponsored with NPR Illinois.

Two Illinois lawmakers want to help people find jobs. On Tuesday, Andalusia State Senator Neil Anderson and Savanna State Representative Tony McCombie hosted a free job fair featuring more than 50 employers. People brought their resumes and discussed job opportunities at Moline's Spotlight Theatre and Events Center.

For kids, summer means time to relax, and not think about school. But when kids don't keep actively learning during the summer, their academic progress can stagnate, and even regress.

The Rock Island Arsenal is adding 160 civilian jobs. This morning, Nancy Lane, Director of the Civilian Human Resources Agency on the island, cut the ribbon in front of Building 102. These new positions will all be in human resources for the Department of Defense Education Activity, or DoDEA.

A native of the Quad Cities will be the new Director of Parks and Recreation for Davenport. The city has selected Rock Island-native Chad Dyson.

During day 2 of the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run, David Hearn finished his back-nine leading the field at 12-under par.

The John Deere Classic PGA tournament will get underway Thursday at TPC Deere Run in Silvis. 156 players will compete for 5.8 million dollars in prize money.
