Bill Hannan

Bill Hannan is a retired Professor from Black Hawk College whose teaching career spanned many, many years.  An Alleman High School graduate of 1956, and life long resident of the Quad Cities who has traveled to many interesting parts of the world.  If you are lucky enough to get a visit from him, you'll learn about his travels.

Bill's artwork is distinguished by his watercolor calligraphy, creating characters who are beautiful depictions from all the classic works of fiction, landscapes and local icons are also lovingly crafted in his work.  WVIK is blessed to have several works of his art around the station including trains, paddleboats, staff caricatures, and now the WVIK mugs he's created for our WVIK Mug collection.

I'd love to share more about Bill but his bios on Facebook and LinkedIn are somewhat lacking the glowing details you might expect to find .there. I do know that Bill has been a longtime listener, friend, and support of WVIK.  His participation in any effort we ask of him is always welcomed and generously given.  We are so grateful.  (bio by Colleen Sibthorp)
